The next Susitna 100 and Little Su 50K will be held February 15-17, 2014.

No races will be held in 2013.

In the few months since the 2012 races, several unrelated, challenging circumstances have arisen which preclude staging the Susitna 100 and Little Su 50K next year in the form we have used since 1997.

Following extensive discussion, the Susitna Races Organizing Board reached the difficult decision to delay the next Susitna Races until 2014.

It is our full intention to again hold safe, challenging, well organized 100 mile and 50K winter races February 15-17, 2014.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience or disappointment this may have caused.

Happy New Year from Flat Horn Lake!

Hello to all!!

Happy New Year!

Kirk and I have been getting so many thank you's and get well wishes from so many of our friends from the Susitna 100.  How wonderful this makes us feel that we have such love and support from you all.   All of the cards and phone calls really do help in the healing process.   Even our Doctor racer Ken, Greenberg had called to check up on me, and did some research on a natural product I was asking about.  I remember each and everyone of you.  I was sunning on the beach in Lanikai, Hawaii, and my cell phone rang,  I chatted with this guy for about a half an hour and I know that he told me his name but it didn't register until after I hung up that it was my friend Ron Nicholl!!  You can blame "chemo brain" on that one.  .  And to think that I am still getting wonderful cards and calls from even more of our Susitna 100 friends to this day.   I am trying to kick this cancer in the butt, and have had some hopeful doctor appointments.  I am a fighter and I have the full love and energy from my husband Kirk, so we can continue to live and breathe a better 2013. So if you are out  by our place on Flat Horn Lake, please stop by for coffee, brownies  or that unmade bowl of Jumbalaya.   Continue to train and we will see you at the 2014 Susitna 100 Racer meeting! and then at our check point on Flat Horn.

Thanks again, Aloha!!  I love you all so much, and please continue your prayers and kindness, for there is nothing better than the laughter and love of friends.
